During the CEQA and NEPA review of the Calatrava bridge project, the opponents ( there always are some) stated venomously that the 14 cables spanning the river would kill an incredible numbers of Canadian geese as they flew up and down the river(speaking with tongue in cheek).
I must hand it to the maintenance people.. They have been able to clean up the carnage in such a manner that not one guest even suspects that all these animals are dying.
