Jayden's Journey

This weekend, I had the opportunity to photograph this courageous young man and his sister at a motorcycle run in his benefit in Passaic County, NJ. Jayden Singer is the son of my childhood friend Andy. Jayden was stricken with bacterial menengitis at the age of 3 and since then has battled this awful disease by fighting through strokes, seizures, numerous brain operations and medications with difficult side effects. It's a credit to his spirit as well as his family's spirit that they all maintain such an optimistic, humorous, positive, inspiring outlook on life through this difficult ordeal.

Over 100 riders participated in the motorcycle run as well as extensive support from Passaic County Sheriff Berdnick and numerous city police departments throughout the county.
