Like a sunbeam

southern♥gal has added a photo to the pool:

Like a sunbeam

"A butterfly lights beside us 'like a sunbeam.'
And for a brief moment its glory and beauty
belong to our world.
But then it flies on again,
and though we wish it could have stayed,
we feel so lucky to have seen it."

* Red-spotted Purple - (Limenitis arthemis)
I shot this about an hour ago handheld at
approximately 30' away. This beauty was
flying quickly from limb to limb on this
Washington Hawthorn. I haven't seen
many butterflies this summer, so I was
thrilled when I saw this one. Very little
processing.
